Graduate Electrical Engineer- Galway 

To €50,000 DOE + Package 

Our client, a leading Engineering Contractor operating across Europe, committed to delivering innovative and sustainable solutions, is urgently looking for an experienced and highly skilled Graduate Electrical Engineer. As a Graduate Electrical Engineer, you will help design, develop, and test electrical systems and components to ensure required specifications and standards are met. This role requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, project management skills, and the ability to ensure that electrical systems are safe, reliable, and meet project specifications.  

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:     

• Assist in electrical design review and verification identifying design gaps and deviations or contradictions in the specifications.  

• Ensure that technical assessments are completed as required and technical issues are resolved without delay. 

• Update and record progress on system trackers which are fully aligned with the construction schedule.  

• Review the electrical installation with the BIM team to ensure the design is constructible and that there is adequate space for installation and maintenance. 

• Help in completing electrical system walk-downs to ensure systems are compliant with specifications and drawings. 

• Assist in developing and executing test plans to evaluate the performance and reliability of electrical systems and components. 

• Oversee cable sizing, technical assessment, & quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship and reliability. 

• Help in ensuring that all electrical work is performed in compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment on-site. 

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications. 

• Strong background in both LV and MV systems primarily in building services and data centre projects. 

• Proficient in electrical design software and project management tools. 

• In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering principles, materials, and relevant codes and standards.  

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.  

• Attention to detail with strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
